This tour provides a comprehensive overview of this cosmopolitan city as well as a detailed knowledge of its main monuments and landmarks.
Barcelona is the 4th most visited city in Europe, and the most popular in Spain! You will see the Montjuic Hill, with the Olympic site: Sant Jordi Sports Pavilion, Calatrava Tower, Olympic Stadium, and Mirador del Alcalde. From there we drive to Plaza de España, and on to Psg. de Gracia, to see one of the most representative Art Nouveau ensemble (Batlló, Lleó i Morera, Amatller and Milà Houses). After reaching the upper part of town, we'll discover the Güell Park and later the Sagrada Familia (both are main works by Gaudí), before driving down to the Sea front (Olympic Port and Village).
La Sagrada Familia is one of the most peculiar and admired pieces in Art History. The construction of the Cathedral started in 1882, but its creator, Gaudi, took over in 1883, transforming the project with his architectural and engineering style — combining Gothic and curvilinear with Art Nouveau. We'll drive back via la Barceloneta district to the Gothic Quarter, with its Cathedral and up to Catalunya Square, the very heart of town.
Note: Price includes English speaking guide.
Entrance fees to the monuments are in addition and will be paid directly. Surcharges applied on week end' s tours.
