You depart from Amsterdam for a drive over the farmland reclaimed from the depth of the former Zuiderzee, surrounded by dikes. You will then travel to Marken you will catch a glimpse of how the Dutch lived before industrialization. Afterwards you will go by Ferry to Volendam where you will have the opportunity to see local color and traditional costumes in this fishermen’s village and stroll along the shopping streets to admire the local sights of the harbor. Before returning to Amsterdam a visit to an authentic Dutch cheese farm and wooden shoe maker is made, where you will sample some of the famous Dutch cheeses and maybe buy a pair of wooden shoes.
